| Spring Straps - handles? I fitted Divingniknaks Stainless Spring straps to my fins, which I'm pleased with and have made life easier when diving in my drysuit in particular. My only slight niggle is that the straps don't have a "handle" i.e. something to grip when pulling them on or off. (I even got a mild complaint from a boatman this weekend who was trying to pull them off as I hung on to the ladder Any suggestions? Has anyone improvised anything? Cheers... |

| I wouldn't bother. Just slide your finger down the side next to the ankle bone then round to the heel and you'll have them off in a jiffy.

| I don't have that brand... mine are just bungee encased in cheapo hose pipe - so punch hole in centre of hose and insert a thumb loop of cave line (not bungee). Cheers, Paul |

| Have you got the right size? There should be a bit of play left in the spring which makes it easy to remove or put on in the way that Woz describes. If the springs are too short they are a bastard to get off.

| I have had both Woz straps on my Volos and Nacker's straps on my jets. Like Woz says, I find looping my finger under the spring works for me. When putting them on, for some reason, I find it easier to put my right one on first looping the spring with my finger on the outside of my right foot. I then put my left one on looping the spring from the inside of my left foot. Strange, but it works for me.

| Forget it. Use the Blandford ones. A lot cheaper, have the right non-plastic clip, stainless fitting and the all-important pull-loop. Wirral Sports and Leisure Blandford |

| Direct link doesnt work. Only ones i can find on there are the beaver springs which stretched so badly on my old fins they no longer keep them secure.
