I'll fill it off Peter's dil bottle so the He makes it float more. He'll like it if I do that.

If you can stay calm, while all around you is chaos... then you probably haven't completely understood the seriousness of the situation.

To avoid any transfer of water, ensure you fill the crack bottle with the base lower than the valve and the whole crack bottle lower than the donor cylinder i.e. lean the donor cylinder forwards: personally, to avoid filling too often, I would get a 3 litre and wait till my buddy is diving with 18/45.....then ask for a fill.

An interesting point ref fill and run - anyone seen one explode/come apart as it is filled?

Unless you've got the 0.2l bottle which will fill the smb from a 100 bar fill. Downside is the cylinder is bulkier.

....and you ought to have a gauge in the line if you try to fill it from a full 300 bar bottle.

Well, you could do it without. It would be interesting.

never heard of one going bang, and don't forget they were frequently used when ABLJs didn't have a direct feed from the 1st stage...

You can fill it fully twice from a 0.1L full cylinder.

    Hmmm....

    0.1l * 220 bar = 22 litres. What's the volume of a Buddy DSMB? I reckon about 20 litres.
