Smile Boris is fantastic!

Having been blown out of todays diving I decided to take Boris for a spin in a local puddle. I can honestly sat that I am over the moon with the unit, it is a lot nicer to dive than my YBOD, the balance in the water feels more natural and the unit feels like a much more rugged piece of equipment.

I have another month to wait until my MOD1 so I won't be taking it anywhere salty for a while yet but I can't wait, money well spent!

Blan,

My Inspo is great, I have always had concerns over the secondary engineering though and there are no issues over any aspect of the boris. Ideally I would keep both units but I just can't justify the expenditure that way and have to recoup some of it. I look forward to diving with you again when you have your box, of course we will now have to find someone else to fill our crack bottles ;-)

Oh you are so going to let me have a go, by the time I had pondered whether or not to go for it, you had bought it, fancy a paddy round Wraysbury. If it helps the beers will be on me.

Ian, welcome on board keep practicing Boris as much as you can and you'll discover some very interesting features ! it's a very good rebreather but you'll need to interact frequently with it, practice, practice, practice ...

What's that paddy around "Wraysbury" ? diveable ?

Rgds

Hi Jerome,

Wraysbury is diveable but viz usually poor due to fine mud at bottom. I don't know if I'll have another chance to use it before my course, we shall see ;-)

Hi Ian

Hope all is well back in the UK. Sounds like your having a lot of fun diving in the cold sites of England and spending loads a money on new toys. are you planning on coming out to visit this year and bring the new toy with you as I have yet to look at Boris up close and personal.

Happy days

Hi Mathew,

All is well here, Sue running out on me has turned out to be the best thing that could have happened! I doubt I'll be out this year, I have a week in the Red Sea in April on the Rebreatherworld trip and I need to keep holidays free to see Phoebe but hopefully I will get out there in '07

Why not stick a post in the intro section and let all these other good people know who you are ;-)

Ian

Hi Ian

I have read about the rebreather world trip is it the one with Leon and Bruce with all the megs, on the big posh liveaboard, not quite like Ungs Tec boat ah. I am planning on getting a new Meg having dived this summer on one it’s a great bit of kit and sure when custom divers get it CE approved it will become a hit in the UK with all the YBOD divers. Are you doing your mod 1 with Kevin on Boris?

We are lining up for a good high season with quite a lot of courses between now and xmas.

Jourg found a wreck two days ago at Racha Noi at 74m so we have a new site to dive this year.

I will Endeavour to announce myself on this forum one day but generally just like to read rather than post.

Anyway all the best
