I saw one in the flesh for the first time on sunday and I was surprised how deep it is. From the front it looks great from the side it makes a borris look skinny. The standard of engineering is very good almost looks over the top very impressive.

I agree with your comments regarding size etc. We had one on the boat a few weeks ago. Got to see the inside of it quite a few times, as he spent most of the week stripping it down.

Paul please bear in mind I know less than nothing about rebreathers that said the one in the shop didn't look as "back" heavy as the one in the first post.

    It was very "black"

Exactly what I thought, I spoke to KG at the dive show about it, if you remeber there are no CL's on the front then its not bigger (IE if you take the total depth including CL like a meg or inspo) if you follow.......

They should put the Vr3 in those babys

KG may argue that its the same depth as a model with front mounted couter lungs but I will put money on not being able to get through as small a hole as I can on my Inspo.

I agree, I think he missed a trick with this, if only he could have got the rear profile down to that of a meg-inspo, sayng that the pelag and revo are very low profile........

KG probably tried to but he may of come up against a few problems with patents on the other units out there, as i should think he has got patents on both of his units to try and stop other people coping his ideas.

I would imagine that the designers had an eye on defence contracts where the rear profile is less critical (look at a Mk16 or a SIVA) when they were putting together either unit. There's no way they would have taken the gamble on such high-spec engineering for the recreational market so I'd bet both units are built round a different "mission" and adapted for us plebs.

I had a good look round the sentinal yes the rear profile is quite deep but it looks a great unit and very well made indeed i came very close to parting with cash for it
