WANT TO BORROW: NTSC-compatible MiniDV camcorder...

I know this is a long shot but does anyone out there have a MiniDV camcorder they could lend me that can handle DV footage recorded in NTSC? I've been sent some tapes by a friend in the States and my camcorder doesn't like 'Never Twice Same Colour' format! I need to output the footage via firewire to a PC for editing and encoding...

Cheers!

I'll check mine when I get home, I'm sure it supports NTSC.

If you want to PM me, my studio deck is NTSC or PAL - I can import the material in to my non-linear suite and do a converison back out to PAL Mini..

Thanks for trying, Epic! And Simon - PM sent, chap!

In the meantime, I'm still on the look out as - ideally - I'd like to keep the footage in NTSC format...

Bardro,

I am based in Belfast but I have a JCV dvm90u that takes miniDV. I use it for underwater stuff as I have the housing for it but you are welcome to use it (as long as you don't keep it for too long ) or you can send your tape to me and I can convert it to a Pinnacle project as this is the software that I use.

Gary.
