WANTED: 1/4" 20tpi UNC bolt (for camera tripod mount)

I know it's a long shot but does anyone have a 1/4" UNC bolt (minimum 1" in length) lying around that they could pop in the post to me? It has to have 20 threads per inch and be made of stainless steel - ie. suitable for use with a standard camera tripod mount. I've tried my local DIY centre but they only stock metric bolts...

Cheers!

I bought a pack of UNC bolts off e-bay from this place.. eBay My World - teknikr6 just do a search for UNC - packs of 10 allen head bolts for about 3 quid.

Reckon it'd be just as fast from here as it would be to post one of mine (considering I'm not back at home until friday)

try A2A4 Intro they do UNC stuff and are UK based. Have just had a look and they do slot-head machine screws just what you want for a massive 29p each including VAT in stainless.

Historical useless fact:-

For what its worth, which is probably not a lot: the screw thread on the bottom of cameras for attaching to trays and tripods is traditionally 1/4" BSW (British Standard Whitworth) that may or may not be easier to source.

I support the BSW idea. Yellow pages usually has someone who sells things like that under fastenings.
