Does it have to be a Halcyon back plate etc as we at Kent tooling do back plates etc

No its doesn't have to be Halcyon

That looks like really nice kit

I was thinking about buying secondhand though to keep the costs down

Frog backplate and harness from niknaks is another option too if it doesn't have to have the H's on it. I'm pleased with mine

Trouble is I am skint as usual

While you lot have been moaning about being blown out I have got heaps of dives in this year

and as its for Jackh101 I was hoping to buy secondhand

If you want a cheap as chips backplate, check out one of the 'Diveteam' backplates and a DiveRite basic harness - any Sea&Sea dealer will be able to supply you with these and they're a lot cheaper than any of the 'branded' stuff...

The nice thing about the Halcyon STA is that there is weight is built in - but I suppose you could get that separately........
