Twin 12s MDE Manifold CD Bands

Hi

I have a set of twin 12 litre cylinders with an MDE manifold and Custom Diver bands.

Currently the isolator on the manifold is fitted with a Custom Divers 'slob knob' extender allowing you to shut the isolator off using a knob by your waist instead of behind your head - before anyone puts a post condeming slob knobs it was on there when I brought the cylinders and you can replace it with a normal knob easily.

The cylinders have been out of test for a couple of months and are no longer required. They weigh a ton but I am open to offers if someone can pick them up from Brighton.

6 months ago I paid £96.00 to have a set of twin 12s hydro tested and o2 cleaned. I think this is is a fairly typical price to pay. On both the twin 12set I bought they came with slob knobs these I removed and sold on for £30.00 each.

Hi, they've had at least three hydo tests so much be at least three years old. Paintwork is a little tatty, but hey its a twinset.

I'm in between houses at the moment (hence wanting to sell them), when I am next in Brighton I'll look out the manufacturer dates and also take a picture.

Seriously these are in my way so I'm open to take offers over the next couple of days and whoever has the highest could pick them up from Brighton on Saturday or I can drop in London on Sunday.

Regards

James

It would be really helpful to have an idea of how old they are. They manufacturing date should be on the shoulders somewhere, or failing, that, what are the dates on the stamps, and are they three hydro tests, or visual, hydro, visual stamps?
(which would make them about 7 1/2 years old)

Well they had a sticker on when I got them, I had them immediately tested when I got them (which was a couple of months still into test) and now they are due another. I've kept a fill in them but I haven't even looked at them for months - they may well still be within test.

So, just to clarify, these cylinders could be anywhere from about 4/5 years to 7/8 years old. If anyone wants to make an offer based on this age feel free, otherwise I'll post some more information when I am in Brighton on Friday morning.

Regards

James

They've been in my hands three years so that is all I can guarantee - **they are at least as old**.

I am not in the business of doing annual hydrostatics, but I know it has had two tests (one prior and one mine) and I think they are due another.

They've been in my cupboard for about a year and I wanted to get them up on here as quick as possible so someone could pick them up at the weekend if they wanted them.

If anyone needs more info, I'll put it all up at the weekend. If someone is happy to make an offer which just takes into account the manifold, bands and slobknob that is cool too - personally that is what I was expecting rather than the cylinder focus which is why I didn't post an age.

Look near the top of the cylinder where there is lots of writing. The date of manufacture will be there
