Exclamation WANTED - Aluminium back plate
Hi I am after an aluminum back plate - would prefer a Dive Rite or a bargin Halcyon and a one piece harness would be good.

Not silly money as I only want it as a holiday rig.

The "Shop That Dare Not Speak Its Name" has Dive-Rite ally backplates for 39.99 inc. p&p

Mr Woz will do you the complete harness & hardware for 37 quid inc p&p (but I don't know if the dive shop side of his business is still operating)

Alternatively, Phil at Niknaks will do the same for 48.60 inc p&p.

For travel, I bought the ally plate, some webbing and all nylon hardware instead of stainless (I'm not going to need a stage for my warmwater dives) from pointnorth, its light and it works.

Let's just say that I've bought stuff from them and never had a problem with what I've bought.

BUT

Other users of this forum have bought stuff, had a problem and found the 'customer service' somewhat lacking.

Try searching the forum for the shop's name and see how many hits you get

Like Hickdive said, there have been a few problems apparently, but myself and my mates have bought over 30 cylinders and other stuff from them over the years without a problem. I did have a problem last year with the crack bottle off a DSMBi. Sent it back to them, and i had a new one delivered to my door from AP within 3 days of me posting it off. So happy with that service....

I have had the occasional delay from other well recommended online stores in the past (nothing serious though), so you pay your money and take your chances i suppose. . . . .

I just bought a dive rite aluminium plate from a guy in florida who will ship to the UK. He's selling all dive rite products very cheaply. I don't really understand his reasoning. I paid 50 USD for the backplate.

PM me for the address.

Thanks mate but for the money they are second hand here I can't be arsed to import one especially when you have tax to pay on top.
