Do we need a new sticky on rules?

I've just read the sticky that MrT (Bren) posted and I wondered if it needed updating? If the Mods think this is in the wrong place then please move it.

One of for the things on trips is that there are two types of trip, the shared cost trip and the I'm doing it for profit/free place trip and I think that there should be a declaration or a different section.

I've nothing against either but when I book on a trip it's always nice to know if the organiser is doing it for gain.

I can't see what relation that has. If I book a trip and offer spaces I say if it's a shared cost trip. I think it should be disclosed if the organiser is receving any benifit for organising. Simple really.

Now the site on my signature I have no connection with. Just like those who have links to say divelife, we know they don't have a connection but the fact there is a link improves the search engine rankings of said site.

I notice you have a Derbent trip booked is it a shared cost trip or are you benifitting? See what I mean we don't know

As for the Derbent it started off with a PM to the skipper & a Cost / person a few emails to regular lads we have met on the boat and what do you know the boats Full and another one on teh same day.

Iam a believer that if the skippers offers a discount its split will ALL divers on the boat the rate given is what the skipper described as his Winter rates NO Deposit and if we sail its a bonus with it being winter.

Is there a particular thread that has caught your eye or is it a general reminder, ive noticed a few Adverts for kit for Sale and the people have been trying to make a few ££ extra on the cost.
TBVH if somebody is mug enough not to research costs for new or 2nd hand kit and they get there fingures burnt tough $h1t i say.
