Plans for the rest of this year and all of next year

As an antidote to the bitching I thought I'd post this up. What diving have you got planned for the rest of this year and what are your plans/ambitions for next year?

    Mine are as follows;
This year, not a great deal more TBH
A dive next Sunday somewhere shallow to play with my new camera and housing probably wraysbury but maybe selsey
The Chesil project dives on the following Saturday
    Maybe Scuba Santas
Hopefully grab a space on Gary's winter warmers trip once Sue gets back.

    Next year
January hope to get out to the red sea for a week
    Feb nothing planned
March, april, may, june, july, august, sept, oct. Mostly in Gozo but hopefully will find time to get down to Falmouth and dive with Okeanos/Atlantic scuba, and a few dives with Scimitar out of Portland and Gary on Top Gun.
I'm also planning on organising 3 YD trips to Gozo One just after Easter, one in late June and one in mid september. I haven't set dates yet but if anyone is interested please PM me for thoughts and plans.

So what will you be doing and where?

This year - Diving with your good self on Sunday, then no idea what else, probably not a lot.

Next year, the only 'proper' trip planned in Phillipines for 3 weeks in late March, probably a week in Gozo, and maybe a week in Shaggy. Oh yes, the Lundy splash in and Basking sharks in June.

However, despite much thinking about it, I am going to stick with my depth limit of ~20m, although I might go 25m. There is so much to see in the shallows.

I also have an idea for a little photo project, but that's going to take a long time to complete

This year, I was planning to do HMS Pathfinder on Remembrance Sunday (which reminds me I need to contact the skipper and book on), a bit of shore diving in Scotland in December, the odd trip to Dorry maybe, maybe not.

For the rest of the winter, I'm hoping to do some camping/diving trips on the west coast, pick an island, point my boat at it and spend the weekend there.

Next year, no idea. I never really plan more than a few months ahead.

Hilsea Point or the Elk tonight.

Blue O Two North and Brothers in, oooh, 24 days.

Diving all winter 'cos we're well 'ard down here (Vonny, you should be ashamed!).

Trip to Weymouth to dive the M2 in July.

3 weeks honeymoon in Sulawesi in October - a week in Lembeh and 2 weeks in Bunaken - one of shallow coral reef stuff and one of deep 50m-ish wall dive stuff.

Sneaky camping trips to Porthkerris and Lundy to be scattered in between.
If you have to think about it for more than thirty seconds, you probably shouldn't get in.

I've just had 2 month off to recharge my batteries from this seasons but intend to get into some quarries to dust off the kit and meet up with a few people. I'm off down to Weymouth for something on the 28th Nov.

then Malta at Easter and loads of diving with the crazy gang over the summer and Guernsey at the end of August.

going to be busy with the club diving as well in between all that, so shaping up to be another great year for me next year.

oh yeah and between all that the Doyen of the Downs 30 mile ultra marathon, Pilgrims Ultra marathon - 66 miles, then the Bob Graham 42 peak challenge - 63 miles and finally the Lakeland 50 at the end of July.

We are on our last planned trip in a fortnight (clyde curtsey of the happychap), then its Tek North....
Most of the winter months will be spent in the puddles until the sea and weather gods start playing ball again!

As for next year we already have a long weekend booked in Torbaydos and are hoping to head from there to Plymouth to do JEL and Scylla.
Also looking at the Farnes for Aug bank hol and possibly a west coast of Scotland for Easter. Apart from that its a case of pick up spaces as and where we can.

The biggest thing for next year though is getting married in Oct
    Go screw yourself
