    Wreck Weeks 2011

After the success of last year’s wreck weeks we are going to be doing it again this year.

I have arranged 3 separate weeks. Each week will be based in Portland and we will be using Scimitar Diving.

July 11th-15th – Intro to UK Wreck Week – up to 35m

This week is aimed at recreational divers or inexperienced wreck divers who want to find out more about UK wreck diving and UK wrecks. Minimum experience required is AOW or above. We will dive some of the best wrecks in the 10-35m range. There will also be an introduction to wreck identification and diving as well as specific briefs on each wreck.

    August 8th-12th – 30-45m Wreck week

This week is aimed at twinset and stage cylinder divers and will focus on some of the best wrecks in the 30-45m range. Some of the dives will be on some of the lesser known Weymouth wrecks. We may select a number of project wrecks to look at during the week with a view to surveying or investigating certain aspects of the wrecks.

    Sept 5th-9th 45-60m Wreck Week

During the third week we will be looking at some of the most interesting of the Weymouth Trimix wrecks. You will need to be Trimix qualified for this trip. Again we may select a number of project wrecks to look at during the week with a view to surveying or investigating certain aspects of the wrecks.

If you are interested in joining one of these weeks then let me know. Priority will be given to those who can make the whole week and I will be asking for deposits once I’ve confirmed there is enough interest in each week.

Feel free to pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.
