| This is something that has come about after Bren dug up an old thread from last year where Scoff of the UK cave diving group showed a few of us his side mount system, honed by many a muddy scrape :-) and looking as streamlined as an oiled stoat-----the sidemount that is, not Scoff :-) See the thread HERE The thread resides on the 'find a buddy site', which it isn't really under----- Sidemount Capernwray.......from dir helmets thread-----so I hope Bren doesn't mind me putting this on here. [See above link]. If anyone is interested in seeing a few sidemount rigs, so far, Steve Robinson, Stuart, the dancing cupcake, aka----Not Dead Yet-----and me Malcolm are planning to be at Hodge Close on either Jan. 2nd, or the 3rd, either dates are good for us so far, and it would be good to see anyone who would like to have a good squint at what sidemounts are about. If there are any dir fans around that weekend who may fancy a little cave diving at some time, I'm sure you would find this configuration interesting-------as would anyone who likes to hang cylinders in unlikely places :-) Cheers, Malcolm. |

| Folks, can we do this on the Sunday (2nd Jan) as I already have a babysitter arranged for that day? |
| |||
| Sunday is fine with me------boy, it's a long time since I needed babysitters! We'll fix a time in next day or so, 10.30/11ish perhaps? Cheers, Malcolm. |

| 10:30 for 11am is fine by me. Shall we say in the top carpark? I will be in a silver Freelander and will be wearing a red carnation and reading the Telegraph! My regular dive buddy, Gary Pennington will be joining us too (on backmounted twin 12's). |

| That sounds good to me. Silver, or at least after it's been washed-----which it hasn't been for ages------volvo. Arriving solo. I'll just have my sidemount with me, which if any one else fancies having a go with, they are more than welcome. Look forward to meeting up then, Cheers, Malcolm. |

| Errr... green Subaru Legacy estate. Easy to spot, it's the one with the radiator pushed up into the passenger seat and covered with bits of Ford Mondeo. I'm afraid I'm not going to make it, wrote my car off in the snow on Boxing Day. Very interesting seeing a 7l bottle of oxygen followed by a 1st stage followed by a 14Ah cannister light followed by a KISS valve go sailing past your head and exit via the passenger window
