Hi Jay,

The forecasts for wind is ALWAYS derived from the direction from whence it came - the prevailing winds in the UK are South Westerlies (a good way of telling directions when you're without a compass - usually!) - i.e. they come with the 'fetch' from the Mid-Atlantic and hit the Irish coast and the UK's south-west peninsula and then make a complete balls of our decent weather - if we ever have any.

Once again, hope you all enjoy the gig in Abbs - even if you do just end up getting 'mashed' in a 4-manner in a field ;)

Cheers,

For those of you who are camping at St Abbs and haven't been camping for a while, here is Swiss Tony's guide to putting up a tent:

"Putting up a tent, is... very much like making love to a beautiful woman. You rent her, unzip the door, put up your pole an'... slip in to the old bag."

Hope this is useful!

Hey Eddie,

It's not the sensation of two fingers up yer Ronson that should concern you..........just make sure that the Customs chap doesn't have a hand on each of yer shoulders when you feel it ;)

I must admit that a serious level of excitement is starting to kick in. Eek! That Northern Lights might well come in handy as a calming influence, not that I can condone that type of behaviour at all Occifer.

Update....
I've just rang Scoutscroft Dive Centre and spoken to Amanda (A verry nice wee scottish lassie) and she tells me things are tickety booh, viz is around 6m at the moment and expected to get better as the weekend approaches because the winds are favourable... :thumb:

Looks like it gonna be a busy weekend as she informs me that theres two groups of 31 and 24 divers already coming to camp at Scoutscroft, and as there's no booking for tent spaces we'd best get there early and circle the wagons so to speak.

I can get there early tomorrow if that helps? A question, do we get air there as part of the boat deal or is that separate? Is there a compressor on the boat?

you get air from the compressor at the campsite. you need pound coins to work it, its a diy job as well, 2 quid a fill.
