Am I going to be the only sane person on the trip
Erm....who told you that you were sane?

On your comment on the dive platform it does look a little different to the description, but it is hard to tell from that photo
From Tony Backhurst's site...

The huge dive deck is at water level and can accommodate up to 24 divers with individual racks
She looks big though!

The photo on TB's site is the old artist impression, this is the real thing

Yeah, I know the photo is out of date but I thought the written description would have been from the build spec of the actual boat?

Still, as long as the ladders are good it is somewhat easier climbing aboard in a thin wetsuit than lugging all the std UK gear up the side of a rocking fishing boat

Lou what I meant was because it is a high platform it can be difficult getting from the boat into the zodiacs. We were in the same area last year and saw some other boats with the same type of platform, looked a little tricky in a bumpy sea.

Oo-er, Good point......

I need to pack some bumpers, methinks. Fell over in the zodiac in flat calm seas last year and bruised my knee nicely - oops!

I never get in the zodiacs with kit on I tell them at the start, I then step in and put kit on.

Talking Sorry Daz

Hi fellow travellers, Paul has just found some real pictures from Sea Serpent website.

http://www.seaserpentfleet.com/gallery_grandss.htm

Going to be picky now though, I thought it was supposed to be a seperate dining from lounge area although these pictures don't look like it and I hope those ladders are not the ones with alternate rungs.

But the Hurricane was nothing like the promised spec!
3.5m extending platform, only 20 guests, and only 1 dive guide when I was on!

Think positive, a bar on the deck!!!

Ladders look like standard ones if you zoom in, no alternating rungs!

The dining area looks nice, even if it is in the same area as the lounge (which I can't tell) - proper tables to sit at! Luxury

The bedrooms look good too - no bunks. Hoorah!

Can't wait...
