Red Sea Trip OCtober 2005

Claire and I are organising a liveaboard trip to the Red Sea in October this year. The itinerary is to the Deep South - the most untouched and unspoilt part of the Egyptian Red Sea. We will be diving Zagarbad, Rocky Island, St Johns and Daedalus - all of the Deep South Marine Parks.

We leave 13th October from Gatwick and return a week later at 1:00am Friday 21st. We fly direct to Marsa Alam so the transfer is a blissfully short 20 minutes! Total cost for the trip is £914. This includes flights, transfers, full board, diving, tanks and weights etc. It also includes the marine park fees (£55) so the only extras will be nitrox, booze and tips for the crew.

I need a deposit of £100 to confirm spaces so let me know if you are keen!

Regards

Which livaboard are you using and are you sure about those dates?

It is the Sir Cousteau. The dates are correct - it is a Thursday to Thursday trip.

I guess! Trying to have fun while we can!! But working most Bank holidays including Christmas/Boxing Day to get the extra days of leave! The Red Sea is worth it - especially as the Deep South is becoming more accessible because of the new airport at Marsa Alam. It will soon be as busy as Sharm and Hurghada and I want to go before that happens!

You are right - lots of warm water girley diving this year.... luckily I am a girley...

3 spaces left

Due to a medical problem with one of the divers, we now have 3 spaces available on this trip. I read a recent trip report on this - the guys who went had loads and loads of pelagics on St John's Reef!

We are going to be able to dictate the itinery as we have booked the whole boat.

The boat has been changed to the "Ocean Wave", a 20-berth boat! So now we are really going to be in comfort!

Looking forward to this trip, still going to twin up for it though - more time to see those sharks....
