Hi folks
the weekend is looming and I have a dive voucher burning a hole in my suit. Anybody got a vacancy for one, South coast preferred for Sunday the 4th May. This will be my first UK Sea dive, and my first UK Sea dive in a dry-suit so be gentle with me. Depth to about 25/30 mtrs sounds favourite.
Looking for Kent/Sussex are preferably.
Cheers

Matt

<font color='#0000FF'>25-30m on a first Dry Suit dive and first UK sea dive?
Personally I wouldn't want to try a new setup at that depth, dive safely dude!

Steve
I may have mis-written that slightly. I have used the dry suit in Stoney about 12 times from a 6m bimble to a 24m penetration on the Stanegarth. Including zero viz silt out, deliberate, and inversion so I'm happy with suit control inland. I have dived in the Sea (med and Lanzarote) where the conditions have been rough and poor viz (not at the same time) to 25m Med and 30m Lanzarote in a semi. I think my first UK sea dive at 25/30 should be OK, do you disagree. I value your opinion, I wont take it as a flamming.

<font color='#000080'>Hey Matt, &nbsp;

Not that I doubt your abilities having seen you dive dry, but first time in the sea off the UK, &nbsp;if I were you I would look at tagging onto a shallow shore dive first.

If for nothing else than the fact you will be able to stay down longer and actually look at some marine life other than pike, roach, perch etc..... &nbsp;

You have also probably got more chance of tagging onto a shore dive for the weekend than finding a space on a boat.

Much fun can be had in &lt;12m.

Daz

P.S Will let you know if gums appears, &nbsp;rest assured I'll phone straight away and expect you there within 2 hours !! &nbsp;

OK Fellas, 2 out of 2 suggests that &lt;12m would be a good idea, advice taken on board. I'm down for 30m at Swanage and I want some Sea experience before then and the boats out of Wittering are doing a 30 plus an 8 so I supoose I better miss the first dive.
Being honest I had mis-givings about that depth first Sea dive myself.

Regards
Matt
