This will be one of the biggest YD events of 2006. - 36 divers, 3 boats, 2 B&Bs and a pub, so it is imperative you read this carefully and agree to it if you want to go. By adding your name you are confirming this is the case. The way it is being laid out is to minimise any problems, and is fixed, the trip is a package. If you do not agree with any of this, simply do not commit yourself to the trip, this is YD, it is your choice.
The cost is £106 per person and includes two days accommodation, B&B, and two days diving - 4 dives, off customised dive boats (not fishing boats), and carrying safety equipment. Each of the three boats has it’s own accommodation which has to be booked in conjunction with the boat, so no diving off one boat and staying anywhere else. Most of the accommodation is en-suit and varying room capacities (mostly twins/triples), couples and single women will be given priority for the most appropriate rooms, all I ask, is everyone is reasonable about it, and it will work out fine. The list of boats and accommodation is below.
The majority of the diving will be around 20-25m, but we will try to do one of the 30m wrecks in the area if the weather is good enough, so please make sure you are comfortable doing this for one of the dives or are happy to sit it out. Realistically you need to be BSAC sport diver/PADI AOW or equivalent, if you will still be inexperienced at the time, you need to get an experienced buddy to help you, though most people will be happy to lend a hand, do not expect someone else to babysit you, it’s their dive trip to.
To avoid the large amount of movement on trip lists we normally experience, you need to send me a cheque for the full amount within a couple of weeks of putting your name down. Only once you have paid are you on the trip, if I do not get the cheque within 4 weeks of your post, you will be bumped off the list and will have to re-apply if spaces permit. I know this is a commitment well in advance, but if your going, you need to be willing to be definite about it. Once you have paid, the place is yours, if you can’t go, you need to fill it from the subs bench in numerical order and sort the money out with them. I know this will not suit all, but I simply cannot handle 36 divers giving deposits then final payment and having to chase those who keep telling me the cheques in the post.
Cheques (Please enclose your YD name and real name with them!) made payable to:
