Is the Clyde weather dependant? for someone like me coming up from London l would need take fri/mon off work and would be a bit pissed if it were cancelled due to weather fri pm.

quote]
Weather- Not really dependant, just more tidal in spots. The Clyde is &quot;normally&quot; sheltered, hence it's use as Naval bases.

....not much, blown oot last Sunday pm, Monday and Yesterday (Sat) only 1 dive. Sou'westerlies with a lot of lift in the Sea. But if you dont want to do the main wrecks or the reefs at Wee Cumbrae you could always go up one of the Lochs for scenicish stuff(pure pants). On the plus side though the vis has been good recently 3-4m on Wallachia during the week:biggrin:
So far this year we've lost more days to Shite weather than the whole of last year, hopefully just a blip though!!
Andy

<font color='#8D38C9'>Gav,

After this weekend - I'll still be coming and will sort with you for the gear but being honest don't know if I'll be diving.

I hope to be but I'm still not at my best......

I'll call Tom and get you later tonight with the Heads Up...

TTFN.

For info, I dived the Clyde at the weekend. &nbsp; We were pretty well blown out on Saturday (South Westerlies), attempted to dive the Wallachia but conditions were too dodgy for recovering divers. &nbsp;Ended up in Loch Striven on the &quot;MTB&quot; (Motor Torpedo Boat).

Sunday was better. &nbsp; We got on the Wallachia and on the Akka. 8m vis on the Akka, about 5 on the Wallachia. &nbsp; All in all a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. &nbsp;Looking forward to going back some time.

Enjoy your trip!

Bob

<font color='#000F22'>Thanks for that Bob - It'll be my fourth trip this year.

So far I've had perfect conditions every time i've been out.

I really hope my good luck continues.

Gav

if you get chance try and show Ben the sharp bit at the front and the roundi bit at the back so he can get to recognise the difference!

Hope you get some good weather and nice vis guys!

Pricey

<font color='#000F22'>Ian - I've tried before but his knowledge of the sea is about as good as a snorkel at 40m!

<font color='#000F22'>The weather is looking good for the weekend but we've had a diver pull out on us so there's places available again.

Even if you only fancy diving one day you can be accomodated.

Make sure you get in touch soon
