Some of us are going to be there this weekend Saturday 13th but then they'll be a tribal gathering on the weekend of 27th-28th of July camping at Scoutscoft... the second date is the one where Andy's hooked us up with 8 places on a H/boat... if we don't see you this weekend then I hope you can make it for the 27-28 gig... :biggrin:

Hi, I may be able to pop up on the Sunday for a bit of shore diving. How dose this work then as I haven't done any yet? i.e. What time do you start diving (I guess this depends on the tides) and how long dose it take to get to St Abbs from Leeds, it takes me about 1.5 hours to get to South Shields!
I am so looking foward to doing St Abbs after reading the latest reports.
Also can anyone tell me how good Hodge Close is?

you'll need to find the others who are going on the Sunday rather than the Saturday and arrange a time to meet up with them, then to get a good parking place in the harbour you'll also need to get to Abbs before 9:00am in the morning, which from Leeds is going to require a 6:00am start time... ugh!...

you can arrive at Abbs later but you will end up parking at the top of a very steep bank and the haul to the drop in point and back is horrendous, good luck on that one!

p.s. If your fancying a boat dive, go to the house in the middle of the carpark and speak to Alison, ask her if Billy has any free spaces on his boat.... quite often he's had cancellations and you can squeeze yerself and yer buddy on for one..., he's an excellent skipper and will take you to all of the choice spots....

Oh no, looks like I will have to give the 28th a miss now due to a trip I went on yesterday (See trip report). I have arranged to do St Abbs with my usual buddy now on the 14 Aug weather permitting.

Oh, you set of jammy beggars!  I have a show in Cleveland on the 27th so can't make it.  However, the law of average states I must get a chance to be at Abbs with you lot.  Hope it's sooner rather than later...
