Imported post "With respect mate, unless you've done it, how do you know til you've given it a bash??" Doesn't the same argument apply to using heroin, homosexuality (nothing wrong with it, just know its not for me), murder and setting myself on fire? Seriously though - I'm not knocking it - theres just a few more things I can spend £50 on at the minute (moving house etc). I'll delegate this one to Davey Boy as he seems keen. Regards

Imported post Hey Heads, a little extreme there fella!! But good luck with the house move. Righty then, Here the necessary for the Blue Planet Aquarium for you guys. Map, directions and address on this URL. http://www.south-wirral.org.uk/eport/aquarium.htm Requisites: * You will need to be a minimum of PADI AOW or equivalent. * Need to have dived in the last 6 months (bring log book as proof). * Need to have own kit. * No fins to be worn. * Groups of 12 divers at a time (then split into 3 groups of 4), you will be hosted by two DMs. * Dive times of either 16.00 hrs or 18.00 hrs (be there earlier to kit up!) * Water temp is approx 24'C - they recommend a full length suit (3 or 5 mm) and no shorties. * Max depth we'll dive to is a staggering 4 metres (Trimix optional then eh?!) * Cost is £55 per person for half-an-hour's 'dive' - you'll actually be "walked around the exhibit" * If you're PADI AOW or above, you can self-certify from a medical standpoint (I think this might be on the PADI Web-site) or just sign the medical indemnity form on the day. Next available date for a weekend gig will be FEB next year!! The next available mid-week (Mon-Fri) dates are 23rd Sept, 02nd Oct & 03rd Oct. If we want an available Friday, next one is 15th November. So, who's up for it now that we've got a heads-up on the details?? Hehe - sorry about that. The only newspaper left in the shop this morning was the Daily Mail - guess its kind of affected me somewhat today. I am now of the firm belief that Shark Diving is not safe and that it is, in fact, a gateway to harder forms of diving! Don't worry - it'll have worn off by the time I get my Daily Sport tomorrow!

Imported post Hey Heads, LoL!! The Daily Sport bringing a whole new meaning to 'getting wet'? ..............I'll get mi coat.

Imported post <http://www.yorkshire-divers.co.uk/ik...s/rofl.gif> Bugger, but that made me larf! From my experience of Blue Lagoon, you're probably safer in with the Sand Tiger Sharks than p*****g it up round Huddersfield town centre on a Saturday night. Whilst you're busy sifting the sand for shark teeth the DM's are ever vigilant and knock a couple of gert bolts together in a pre-arranged code if one of the big boy's is cruising too near, giving you enough time to bow your head in deference/rectum-wrenching fear (delete as applicable). Me, being of a curious nature, heard the signal and LIFTED my head to see where the bugger was and promptly stared into the ugliest set of gnashers in my life! Made Shane McGowan (Pogue's) look positively Californian! Is it worth the cost? Is a pint of ale, 98% water, worth the cost? Probably not, but you gotta do it! A great experience and 12 divers equates to 120 foot passengers through the door, so you're doing a lot towards keeping the place open. Does anyone know if they are allowing divers in the sister aquarium, The Deep Blue in Hull, yet?
