I have just spoken to Alan and I have reduced this trip to 12 people diving from one boat.

As I am not sure I will be going I have removed my name, but rather than lumber someone else with the money duties I will still be responsible for collecting the money.

Therefore I am going to collect a deposit on this trip, I understand that this hasn't happened for a couple of years, but unless someone would volunteer to take on the responsibility I don't see another way.

I would be grateful if you could send me a deposit for £67.50 to the following address within the next 4 weeks.

Could I possibly nick this spare place on a provisional basis? I can't be absolutely certain that I can go until I start my new post in a few days and have an idea what my shifts will be - it's really messing up my dive planning!

Sorry Fiona - I can't be certain what I'm doing until I start my new post on 28th.

I'll need to take leave for this - I've got enough but I need to find out if they will honour some of my other commitments which had been on days off but now fall in when I'm supposed to be working. As it wasn't a voluntary move I'm hoping they'll shift my duties about to accommodate me. If not I'm going to have to use my leave for the prior commitments.

I'll let you know as soon as I can.
