Hey, I wasn't bickering, just stating an opinion . Seriously, I think this thread served a very useful purpose as long as the trip wasn't full. I suppose it could serve a useful purpose again if somebody dropped out between now and next October. Otherwise, we all know who's going on the trip and we have each other's e-mail adrresses, so why continue posting here, or sending each other PMs, for that matter? It just means we have to check this site, and this thread, regularly as well in order to be sure of not missing anything important. Personally, I've enough to do to keep track of my e-mail without having to check in other places too. So, if you want to inform me of something in connecton with the trip, please e-mail me. Others may prefer other means of communication, but that's my request.

Have you not heard the immortal phrase "it is not enough that I am going to Galapagos, it is important that others are not and can read about how exited we are on t'interweb" or some thing like that, maybe i remembered it wrong.

By the way I have now booked my flights 28th jan and 14th Oct and yeee haaa I am getting excited. I got some great prices for one day excusions from Quito as I am goig to go to Cotapaxi on Friday and Otavalo on Saturday before flying home on Sunday.

Only 35 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell us more, Jules! I was considering going to the Antisana Ecological Reserve on October 12 but nobody else seems to be interested, judging by the total lack of replies to my e-mail on the subject. Any idea what that day-trip costs?
