And you might want to pack some extra thermals to warm you up in between dives as Gary spoke to Holly yesterday regarding the group who have just returned who were on Daphne...

Reports of 12 degrees on some of the southern dives...

the cold!!!!

have a really fantastic time you guys, i am so so glad it has all worked out for you.

I am a complete wuss when it comes to the cold (I wont even think about diving in the UK!!!) and I get really cold in the maldives in a 3mm when its 28 degrees - I wore a 7mm and never once even thought of the cold (how can you when there are sea lions darting around everywhere)when we were in galapagos last June. When we got to Darwin and wolf adrian and I decided to go for it with 3mms. we were expecting to backroll and freeze - although I think the first dive there I was soooo shocked at all the fins on the surface (which the guide wanted us to back roll into) I was pleasantly surprised. You will not get time to feel the cold underwater, its so exciting there really is no time to think of the termpature at all.

enjoy yourselves its been a long time coming.
One thing worth asking (which the deep blue guides didnt want to do) is for a 4th dive, just dive around the rocks at darwin. The sea lions there were great fun. Sometimes the 4th dive round at the arch was a bit knackering so its worth giving it a go if all are up for it.
Lou
