Lou, I had printed out the old table and the charge was previously €40 per leg. It is now €20.
Excess baggage sportsequipment
Unless I'm very much mistaken, we will have to pay €20 to Amsterdam, another €20 from Amsterdam to Bonaire and another €20 from Bonaire to Quito (Tail-ends KLM flights between: Bonaire and Lima, Quito or Guayaquil), i.e. €60 total each way. According to the old rate, it would have been €120 each way. Or am I missing something?

So round two - repack, out comes the regs still 24kg

out comes the BP - 20.6kg

so out are the hesers

WTF?!?!?!

What on earth is left if you have taken out your regs, b/p and torches??

And where will your clothes go if you are using 10kg of your clothes allowance for dive gear.

Swap those silly big rubber fins for some sensible ones - that'll save a few kg.

Take the batteries out of the Hesers and buy them at the airport.

Take your brass gauge off and put your old one on instead.

And retry

We packed for the Red Sea with dive gear and clothes within 20kg, so you should get ALL your dive gear in under that, woman.

I know I have no idea why it weighs so much - it must be my new luggage

What is in there is staying, when I do the other bag I may be calling KLM

John sorry you are wrong 40 euro is for a one way trip. My ticket is Manchester - Quito.

God knows then.

On the phone when we booked the guy said 40Euros each way.

From the table it could be interpreted the way you say, or by group 4 for an end-to-end rate.

What does your e-ticket say, because mine only shows sports package ont he Amsterdam to Quito leg (after all, we aren't even getting off at Bonaire, so why would that count as a leg?)

I haven't got a proper e-ticket, just a letter from my agent stating that KLM now use e-tickets and giving my flight details, booking number and ticket number. It doesn't say anything about dive gear but my agent assures me it is in the computer. I will be getting off at Bonaire on the way back, of course, so that will be an extra leg for me at least. Anyway, the point I wanted to make was that, as far as I can see, Fiona was right. The charge has been reduced from €40 to €20 per leg. I'll be very glad if I only have to pay €40 each way, though.

No John I have already amended my post. Lou was right I was looking at the wrong section.

However I have just been talking to Lou and we would like to suggest a meeting place at Schiphol.

Looking at the information we think we are in the Lounge 2 area so if we are the meeting place is Murphy's bar.
