Steve,
thanks for letting us know - I'll just have to rub it in when we have tropical temps and vis (yeah right). At least you'll be saved me posting lots of pic's, just remembered I left my camera at the in-laws @ christmas

Cheers,
Simon

Deposit sorted. I'll be staying at the Cranbourne, arriving late Friday afternoon - I hope. I'll have to leave pronto on Sunday as I have to get back to sunny(??!!) Yorkshire asap.

Are there any major differences diving from a hard boat as opposed to a RIB (apart from the lift !! )? Any tips would be welcome, so I bring the right boat gear.

I'll be diving a single 12L tank rig, using 32% nitrox on Sat. My SAC's usually about 20L/min, so I should be OK for a 45 min dive barring any unexpected stressful incidents.

See you at the weekend,

Shuna

I'll be ringing the Cranbourne in the morning, so fingers crossed they've got some rooms left but its a pretty big place so reasonably optimistic.

The rest of us should be down Friday afternoon as well - we'll be popping into Aquanauts to drop off kit, hopefully get some fills sorted and try and sort out boat times etc. I'm hoping that we can do a reasonable start time on Saturday and a slightly earlier one on Sunday so we can all get away at a reasonable time, but that'll be down to Brian in the end.

Hmmm, a bit less bouncy & a bit drier (hopefully ). Generally we tend to get into suits on the way out, so some nice warm clothes and a hat - other than that nothing to worry about Oh and some lunch might be an idea, there's a handy co-op just the other side of the harbour for that.

Since we'll be out all day you'll need 2 tanks - I'm sure that Brian can hire one if you need one, or there's a good chance I've got a spare 12l nitrox hanging around somewhere. If I have I'll pop it in in case you need it, and PM you.

Indeed, look forward to seeing you then - weather's looking better as well, no rain forecast now

Brian's asked me to point out there's still a couple of spaces available on Saturday and plenty on Sunday if anyone's at a loose end for the weekend. Contact Brian through http://www.aquanauts.co.uk

Weather forecast now looks cracking Virtually no wind and sunny.

Will do a trip report when I get back.

Cheers,
Simon
