Go

Click on marine charts

Stick U90 in the search box and click on the details below as they come up

Zoom out a little, hey presto all the subs.

Click over the names and you get some detail.

The U90 stuff is wrong though.

bump

All,

Seems we haven't moved the discussion on so are we all happy with the earlier suggestion by TerryH that we target the following

U-90 - good weather 1st preference
UB-81 - good weather 2nd preference
U-1195 - good weather 3rd preference
Polo - poor weather deep preference
Luis SS - poor weather shallow preference
Camswan - bad weather last ditch

What I'm not sure about is are we doing a 1 dive or 2 dive plan and whilst MJH was discussing buddies it's probably true that many of those booking didn't have buddies at the time however with a full boat of 12 there should be 6 pairs (math eh!) though perhaps some groups of 3 or 4 might be in order?

Also do can we look at the skills mix and how that might work out e.g. how many Sith lords are their, how many CCR, how many OC, how many twin-sets jockeys, gas planning?

...I'm a curious person (okay...some just say odd!) so I'll start;

I'd being taking twin-12's and probably an ali80 for practice - I'm happy to do deco and would be doing a dark-side impression if there are any others to play with.

Finally, I'll be driving down from J6M25 and am happy to provide transport for anyone en-route - just PM me.

Regards,
Simon

I'll be twin 12's and 7l stage. I'm happy to go with the flow, but looking at a shallowish 2nd dive if poss as I presume there won't be any fills on board?

I'll be on Twin 12s and an AL80 as well, I don't really care a jot what we dive, as long as we dive.

Not sure where you get all this from Simon. It is pretty clear from the first post the trip I was setting up. Oh well. Serves me right for having a discussion on it rather than defining it hard.

As I said in the first post it will be plan 1 - one of the subs, dependant on weather. First choice is U90, followed by UB81 if U90 is unattainable. If neither of these are go then we will take advice from the skipper on the day as to the most likely site for a decent dive. After all, at that point we will know what the condition have been like int he area for the few weeks leading p to it and what the weather is up to that day. Givent hat it is March it is a bit much to try and plan for every eventuality - just chill and go with the flow. I find skippers often have the better ideas...

Second dive of the 2 dive day (again, see post 1 please & again in post 28) is NAB tower. this is diveable at all states of the tide and prevents us having to bob around for 5 hours. Depth is 20m-ish but the layout means you can choose your depth so a bimble at 5-10m is doable ont his site if your gas supplies so dcitate. No gas on the boat.

The dpeth limit is 35m. We will not do a dive that exceeds this as folk have signed up with that in mind for the U90.

Buddy teams are up to you guys to sort out. From the list I see there are some established pairs or groups, so if you aren't on with a buddy, find yourself one or accept you are diving solo. Much as I hate all that liability bollocks I don't know some of you and I will not be involved in setting you up with someone on the boat for a 35m dive. Sorry about that

Lastly i shall be diving with a pony and a snorkel, plus a pink tutu, silver deely-boppers and Muppet's lunchbox. Is that ok?

ATB

I do like a good Commander

Lou,

Wonderful I do like strong leadership. None of this woolly shall we/could we/ might we rubbish.

I did read the original plan but as you correctly stated it had become more of a discussion and I'm happy with the confirmation of direction.

....in which case could someone who knows show the buddy groups - GARF - let me know if you're grouped up?

Thanks and looking forward to the day.

Simon

Lou - 1 OC
Caroline - 1 OC

JAG - 2 OC
j.w. - 2 OC?
Garf - 2 OC

MattBin - 3 OC
Marianne - 3 OC?

6.John Touhig - ? OC
7. Simon - ? OC

Blan - 4 CCR/OC
Juz - 4 CCR/OC - I guess this depends on who gets to play on it that day?
Iani - 4 CCR

OK, that is my best guess - please amend as appropriate

Edit: In case it isn't clear the numbers after each name identify who is diving with who, so Caroline & I are diving together, Garf, Jag & j.w together etc. They are no indication of anything else so don't get offended, happy, confused, obsessed.....

These are only my guesses to start you chaps rolling. As I said I know who I am diving with - you can sort your ugly selves out

Well we both have Inspo's now, so both Blan and I will be CCR!

I'm fine with this grouping, although I might sneak off for a solo one if the other two are cool with that.
