Dive The Red Sea !

would like to introduce you to our dive centre, Big Blue Dahab, based in the Red Sea resort of Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt. As a fellow PADI dive centre we are keen to set up an affiliation with your dive school, to the mutual benefit of both parties. In line with PADI’s philosophy of “going places, and meeting people” through diving, we would like to suggest to you that your divers would no doubt enjoy to dive here in Egypt, experiencing the amazing waters, reef and fish of the Red Sea.

Therefore I would like to make for a proposal for you.

There is so much publicity and focus these days on divers going to Sharm el Sheikh or Hurghada, so I would like you to consider us here in Dahab as an alternative and also attractive destination.

Why dive in Dahab?

· Dahab is a unique destination in many ways. In contrast to Sharm or Hurghada, and undiscovered by the package tourist industry, it is frequented mainly by backpackers and independent travellers, and has a relaxing and chilled out atmosphere.

· We have some amazing dive sites to offer both experienced and non-experienced divers alike. These include the infamous Canyon and Blue Hole.

· We can offer live aboard trips in and around the sites of Sharm el Sheikh, including Ras Mohamed and Thistlegorm, for a fraction of the price that it is offered in Sharm el Sheikh.

· Generally you will also find prices more reasonable here in Dahab, not only for diving, but also in terms of accommodation and everyday expenses.

Having said that, with over 60 dive centres in Dahab we understand the difficulty dive centres such as yourselves may also have in choosing a reputable dive centre here in Dahab.

So why dive with Big Blue over our competitors?

· Please be assured that we are one of the 26 dive centres that is actually PADI registered, and adheres to PADI standards. Most dive centres in Dahab advertise themselves as PADI centres, but they will not be found in PADI listings. I am sure that with a reputation to uphold, a dive centre such as yours will appreciate that if they can claim to be a PADI centre and they are not, then they could also be misleading you and the divers in all other respects, including and importantly, with their safety standards. A full list of PADI registered sites in Dahab can be found at:

http://www.padi.com/english/common/s...&Submit=Submit

· We are a family run operation, with both Egyptian and British management, which therefore gives us more understanding for the needs of foreigners abroad, without compromising on local and cultural issues. My wife also worked for over 4 years for a leading adventure travel company and can provide on hand information regarding any excursions around Egypt your divers may also wish to take, or ideas for non-divers of ways to fill their time.

· Safety comes first. We will not compromise on safety and pride ourselves on putting the needs and safety of the divers above all else. We also do not cut corners on the courses we run, and would rather see our students leave as good divers who will enhance our reputation, no matter how long that takes to achieve. We can also assure you that our student to dive master/instructor ratio will never exceed 6:1, a ratio we have found beneficial not only for control of the dive, but also for the fun of the divers themselves.

· Our equipment is new, and fully serviced and maintained on a regular basis.

· Our instructors and dive masters are some of the most experienced and best in the business. With years of experience in diving and a great knowledge of the local area, divers are sure to be happy with the service they receive.

· We encourage and enforce reef protection, enlightening students on the importance of conservation, and teaching them the right diving methods to avoid damage to the environment which is so often overlooked by other dive centres.

· Like many dive centres we offer all PADI courses, and daily guided dives to all Dahab dive sites, but unlike most dive centres we can also run guaranteed daily trips to Thistlegorm, Ras Mohamed or Tiran Island, some of the most popular sites in the Sinai.

· Our prices are reasonable and I am sure they are within the budget of your divers.

Unless, (and I haven't been since last May so I don't have up to date info), this is on the site of where Fantasea used to be? (I can't get onto the PADI site at the moment to check).

EDIT/UPDATE: It appears to be in Mashraba, but there are no Padi logos etc on the website. The 'dubious' school was at the Lighthouse and run by Russians (before they got closed down).

Let the popcorn munching begin The main feature is just spooling
