Not changing plans Doug...that is fine for me and C too, 30-ish is out max and 30 gives us stuff all bottom time anyway. That's why I reckon stuff like Eddystone and Hilsea Point (or East Rutts suggested by the Skip?) are good as they give us all the individual choice of depth (and I really want to do Eddystone!! - couldn't get out last time because of the weather).

So Saturday night is a BBQ then? We can wrap up warm, and if it rains we can go to the campsite bar!! Don't think we can all fit in my tent - me and C can barely fit in it!

.....and Lou breathes out and smiles...phew!

See you all soon

Lou

Hi Lou,

well done on picking this up.

I'm in the US until Monday so wil not be able to get the Cheque to you until then.

As an aside, went whale-wathing the other day and it was absolutrly awesome!

4 Big Humpbacks and 2 coming right up to the boat - unbelievable.

Cath you later.

Tim

It looks like a few others from my club will be on the campsite, including Big Dave.

Look for a blue Renault Scenic avec rib.

Hello all,

I suddenly thought that I had better point ou that the plan is to be at sea all day and thus you will need tanks and gas to cover 2 dives, however you plan your gas.

This came to me as I pondered how to get two extra tanks...anyone coming along who has spares they could get hold of to loan me for the weekend by any chance?? We only have one tank each......If you do then please drop me a line or I am going to have to find a place that rents them.

Camping - we should be at the campsite early afternoon so look out for a black Volvo V40 and a blue 2 man dome tent. I might stick the YD logo in the front of the car or something as a recognition aid!

Attendees:- We have lost one diver from Saturday which leaves us with 19 divers for the weekend instead of the 20 we need, so if anyone wants to join for 1 day, give me a mail.

The lists look like this....

SATURDAY
1 Lou - PAID
2 C - PAID
3 Tim
4 John D - PAID
5 John R
6 Doug P
7 Doug's mate
8 Alex
9 Andy -PAID
10 Graham - PAID

SUNDAY
1 Lou -PAID
2 C - PAID
3 Tim
4 SPACE AVAILABLE
5 John R
6 Doug P
7 Doug's mate
8 Alex
9 Andy - PAID
10 Graham - PAID

Can I just prompt anyone who's cheque isn't "in the post" to put it in asap? I would like to have all cheques in my grubby paws by the time I leave on Friday morning so that I am not faced with the possibility of stumping up for no-shows. Given the state of my bank account that could be very embarassing!!!

Looking forward to it guys, and let's hope the weaher holds out for us.

See you all soon.

Lou

Well I am sitting here, with the sweats, shivers and a monster headache. I'm not a happy bunny I really hope it goes by mid week, else I may not be diving. Shall probably still turn up though.

If all goes well, we should be at the campsite around 6pm

Hi,

I just want to add a note.

Lou has saved my bacon on this one. I have my reasons for pulling out which are personal. I have spoken directly and appologised to the people I know personally.

But, I just wanted to add a general sorry to those I have not met, hope to do so at some point in the future and have a dive plus a beer.

Take care one and all and have a fantastic weekend.

Andrew

My note to the above - if I didn't know and trust Andy I wouldn't have stepped in on this. All of us who dived at Swanage know that he keeps good on a promise, so this was obviously an extraordinary occasion and I look forward to his next trip.

Best wishes Andy!

Lou

As e-mailed to you all.....

uys

Here are the final details for the Plymouth gig this weekend.

I've just spoken to Pete the skipper and the forecast is good with sun and moderate (15 knot) northerly winds for both Saturday and Sunday.

This should mean we are ok for an itinerary that looks something like

Saturday am - Eddystone
Saturday pm - JEL

Sunday am - Persier
Sunday pm - Hilsea Point drift dive

but we can obviously discuss this further on Friday night/ Saturday

Saturday will be a 9am kick-off. That means 9am on the boat, ready to go. When we return we can put tanks into Deep Blue for fills overnight and pick them up on Sunday morning.

The boat is the Furious and leaves the pontoon at the Mountbatten Centre by Deep Blue, not the public pontoon. It has a blue hull, a grey wheelhouse and tea & coffee facilities (not that they will help you recognise it!!). There is also O2 on board.

You can drive down to the pontoon and unload your car outside Deep Blue. Barrows are then available to transport your kit down the pontoon to the boat.

We will arrive at the Riverside campsite early/mid afternoon, depending on the traffic, and set up the tent. We have a black Volvo V40 with an R plate.

Seems like the plan for those interested would be to meet up at the campsite on Friday night.....or in the morning on the boat!

I will try and find a map to the pontoon and post it on, any other questions, e-mail, pm or post on the thread,

Looking forward to it

Lou
