Lou and everybody

One map

The route is not as straightforward as it might appear on any map. Towards the end of the dual carriageway, you must be in the right hand lane for the A379, signposted Kingsbridge IIRC. Left at a couple of sets of lights, through some others, then right, 2nd left at 2 roundabouts. Right at a set of traffic lights, then pretty much follow your nose for the rest. Don't be distracted by signs for Bovisand . This is OTTOMH, so I hope I got it all right.

As I am planning on leaving the campsite by 8.30, you are welcome to follow me. We launch at Mountbatten. We have planned to do pretty much the same as yourselves, but may have to be a little more flexible. The wind/waves can make the rib a little uncomfortable.

One point. Mountbatten is hosting the UK youth dingy sailing championships over the w/e, so parking could be interesting, but unlikely a problem when we turn up. It is more likely to be fun for us on the slip.

The pontoon is not a long one, so you might find it quicker to just carry the gear if the trollies are being used.

I'm not bringing the gas barbie for Sat. Decided that disposables on a few planks are less hassle.

Adrian

Not bad for OTTOYH.  I'm not going to complicate things by adding to these directions because they can just follow you.

Right-ho chaps!  This is my last log-on before I leave for lands westwards tomorrow morning.

You should all have my mobile number if you need to contact me from tomorrow morning onwards.

I still await cheques from Tim and Alex so you guys had better show up or thou shalt hereby be known as Rb-ers!!!

Sure I will catch up with you at the campsite, Tim, but give me a ring to set my mind at rest if you read this before then.

Alex, it's too late for you to post here so please call, cheers.

Look forward to seeing you all either tomorrow night or ready on the boat, at the Mountbatten centre by 9am Saturday.........hooray here comes the weeeeeeekEND!

See you

Lou

Ali baba wouldn't last five minutes in Plymouth.  I've lived in some utter shitholes in my time, Tottenham, Stevenage and never had anything stolen from me until i got here.  I had a motorbike and a car stolen within the first two years of living in Plymouth.

If it affects anyones packing plans, it is chucking it down at the moment in Devon. It should dry up later, but it's not for nothing that Devon is so green...

Aye, the local tea-leaves just following the grand traditions of Drake and Raleigh.

Viz was 1 metre on the Lane last night with a big swell  (1m forward-3m back) but the weather is supposed to improve a bit for tomorrow.
