| Imported post Okay, guys and gals, the status of this trip is thus... Events have overtaken Andy and has had to pull out of this trip. He has asked me to take over the organisation and I have agreed because I am gagging to get back on the JEL again!! The weekend is still on. I will contact the skipper today to let him know that I am the new rep, and find out what we have. It may be one boat, 12 divers based on the drop outs listed on this thread. I will post up the response later. Whatever the numbers places will be reserved on a first come first serve basis of cheques for the full amount. I'm not being caught out on that one.... Organising beds for the night etc will be down to individuals, but there seems to be a few of us planning to camp so the Riverside site seems the first choice. Obviously time is short for me to get up to speed so please bear with me on this, lets make it a team effort and line up a cracking weekend! Cheers all Lou

| Imported post Thanks Lou. Keep me as a reserve for the hardboat in case you don't fill it. I am planning on bringing down our rib for the club, but will come on the hardboat if a filler is required and I can get someone to launch/cox the rib. I've also booked my pitch on the campsite. Adrian

| Imported post Well done for taking it on Lou - it can be a thankless task! Bl**dy Hell - they're dropping like flies! Even the organiser's dropped out! If you can, I suggest you let us know the pricess asap - you'll have my cheque by return. I think you're right to work on a dosh only basis - I think we all learned from the Bren experience! Getting RB'd is bad enough, without having to pay for the priviledge! Is it worth having a barbie at the campsite? I won't be staying, but it would be a good place to get together if the weather's nice... And if it isn't, I'm sure DougP can find us a cheap pub! |

| ATTENTION!!!!! This is the score. We have 1 boat available for the 30&31 Aug for this trip. It can take up to 12 divers. The cost per day is £300. We will do the James Eagan Layne and similar wrecks with maybe a reef to finish. This can be decided between us but seeing as I'm now organising it and want to dive the max depth will be about 30m! No deposit has been paid and hence we are using the goodwill of the skipper to keep this boat for us. Please don't let us let him down. I need, from you, asap, a firm commitment indicated by reply to this thread and an *e-mail* to me (so I have your e-mail address). This then needs to be followed up within a day or two with a cheque, I will reply to your e-mail with my postal address. To ensure we have a go-er, and I am not left out of pocket I will work on a boat-load of 10 people, hence the cost will be £30 per day each. If we get 12 on the boat I will refund you the difference in cash on the weekend. So, that is a cheque for £60 each for the weekend. There is accommodation as Andy described earlier for £12 per head with the skipper. This is B&B where the breakfast is tea, toast, ceral, coffee etc. There are a variety of bed numbers in the rooms including some singles. The others are twins or triples. Please indicate if you would like this option, or if you will be camping or arranging something else. I am not going to be responsible for you bed arrangements! So the list is.... 1) Lou 2) Caroline 3) John Duncan Sat Only- email received, thanks John. 4) Tim Ingmire - Tim, please e-mail 5) John Rudolf (Mdemon) - Email received, cheers 6) Alex K - awaiting contact via Andy P 7) 8) 9) 10) 11) 12) Subs: Adrian Kelland (bless you!) Doug Parker - trying to convince him to sign up for the mainstream! Sorry for the school-marm-ness but this has to be done a bit swift as I am sure you all appreciate! I can assure you I am not like this all the time! Cheers all, and look forward to seeing you - apparently the viz has been good down there so there is even a chance of seeing each other underwater! Lou
