Scapa Flow - spaces 9 September week

Spaces on Scapa Trips 2 & 9 September weeks (or fortnight trip)
We (Standard Life Dive Club)have spaces available for 1 or 2 weeks day boat diving with Hazel on the Stormdrift
Self Catering in the Orca Hotel in Stromness for the first week and B&B basis for the second week.That lets us have free run of the kitchen and dining room to cook what we want and we have access to washing machine and drying for salty undersuits etc. on the first week and get full Scottish breakfast on the second week.

Leave Edinburgh noon on Saturday 2&9 September - arrive 23:00 in Kirkwall
Leave Kirkwall 23:00 on Friday 8&15 September - arrive in Edinburgh noon Saturday 9&16 September. Or you can do your own transfer and fly or get Scrabster ferry or whatever.

Good bunch of divers - 2 to 3 dives a day, we can cater for all levels of experience. Non-diving family or friends welcome. Tours of Orkney sights can be arranged. Second week has some rebreather divers booked on and so any technical divers would probably enjoy the 9 Sep week more as we can do more deep and long dives to suit them.

£25 a day for the diving - £150 for the week
£25 a day for the accommodation - £150 for the week (2 Sep self catering week)
£28 a day for the accommodation - £168 for the week (9 Sep B&B week)

So - £300 (2 Sep) or £318 (9 Sep) all in for dive and accommodation per person.

Ferry, return from Aberdeen (including cabin on overnight return and share of minibus ferry fare) = £99

If you want a lift in the minibus from Edinburgh return - add £100 for share of hire and diesel.

Sad old git - been diving since about 1972 - run the Standard Life Dive club. Glad to add anyone to my dist list that I mail every week to invite folk to join us diving every Saturday. West Coast lochs in the winter mainly..St Abbs, Eyemouth, Farnes, Fife, Forth etc in Spring & Summer..photos and rambles at www.gordonmackie.com - and "Hi" to the wreck ferret if he is online today :-)

Is that an intrduction? and "Hi" to Vickie as well

that shouldn't be a problem - to reduce the number of vehicles, we will meet up somewhere with free parking to load the minibus and return to there.
If you don't have transport, I am about 100 yards from the station on the Newcastle line.

If there is just one or 2 of you, I can fit you in on the 2 Sept trip if that suits as well

Only one of me, but i'm going to Gozo in september so will have to check the dates. And no i don't have transport :P.

few things i'd like to know:-

What is the deposit, and by when does it have to be payed. I understand the complete cost will be ~500 for a non-driving loser like me :]
Are weights included in the package? I will probably bring all my other gear

If you can bash off £100, that would be you guaranteed a place, but as you need to plan round Gozo trip, I will keep your place till you decide which week suits best...no problem. Let me know which week (2 or 9 Sep) suits you best. Final payment will be due 12 weeks before the trip.

Cylinders (12l) and weights are included (Hazel even includes air in them) and I can meet you at the station and drop you back there. Non-Driving isn't a problem. If you want a pony, we can book that with Hazel as well. Best to bring everything else.

As 2 rebreathers are bringing their owners - 9 Sep week has become Technical (James Barrie and depth) and hotel will be on B&B basis as these English folk like food in the morning :-)
