| Scimitar - March 22nd & 23rd All, Have been speaking to Smudge of Scimitar Diving (Weymouth) and he's kindly offered 6 spaces for two days diving on the above mentioned dates free of charge. At this time the boat is due for completion by the end of Feb then undergoing sea trials in Plymouth early March. He is as certain as he can be that all will be well for the boat to take divers out on Mar 22nd/23rd. Obviously though there is a risk that it won't be ready, so I've asked him, and he's confirmed that he will let us know by March 15th whether it's a go/no go. This gives us a week to either cancel any work holidays booked or seek alternative dives. Personally I will be looking to dive over those two days no matter what, not inland though! His only proviso is that we give an honest assessment of the boat and his operation. Regarding accommodation I don't think it's worth booking anything at the moment, I shouldn't think it would be too difficult to book something closer the time for midweek in March. There is currently one spare place and the current roll call is: 1. JAG 2. J.W. 3. Kate 4. Kate's Oppo 5. Kate's Oppo 6. Looking for a couple of backups also, just in case. Thanks, Ian

http://www.scimitardiving.co.uk/page4.html should answer some of your questions. Regarding depth I don't know at this stage, won't really know till closer the time, but if you have any preferences I can ask. Just let me know. Ah, just seen your PM! Cheers, Ian

| Go on then you twisted my arm ! Put me down please Ian ,I would prefer not to be going below 40ish as I will probably be on the ybod & I haven't even got it wet yet ! Is there anyone going from the SE that either wants a lift or wants a passenger to share costs ?

On another note, I'd be interested in your experiences of the boat as I'm thinking of organising a weekends submarine diving in late June. |
