YD gig in West Wales - would anyone be interested?

Hi all,
Have noticed that there is quite a large Welsh contingent now on yd which got me wondering whether it would be worth trying to plan a Welsh YD gig (Non Welsh people equally as welcome ). So (provisionally, no commitment) would anyone be interested in a couple of days diving in Pembroke? Possibly late April/ early May depending on boat availability. If there is enough interest I will phone around and get some dates and Prices etc.

We had a good trip last May but the viz was crap so you might be better putting it back a month or so.

Also we went with Dive Pembroke and the boat ride round was far too long unless you can get picked up maybe at martins haven, we went from the Marina and I wouldn't want to repeat that trip.

Disclaimer - these comments are my own opinion and not meant to scupper your trip.

Enjoy.

Thanks Fiona , will keep it in mind if it goes ahead and have a chat to the skipper about best dates and boat journey times.

Hi Helen

Me and maybe another couple are interested.

Pembrokshire is our usual holiday location (well for the last 22 years)
Used to base my RIB at Neyland for a couple of months each year.

Diving is wonderfull but you need to know where and when to dive, weather direction, tides etc.
Know issues of diving from marina but in the right boat its only a 15 minute trip to dice sites, as used to have my RIB based at Neyland.

Cant confirm until dates are know but very interested, what about one of the May bank holidays or even Easter weekend ?.

Also what boat are you using?. May know them/be able to recomend alternatives.

Regards Gary

Yeah Helen I would be interested.
Previously when I had the rib I used to dive the area a lot I've had some excellent diving around Skomer, and been out to Grassholm once..
Theres quite a few dive operations and boats from around there. Some better value than others ( as Fiona's experienced).

Also some good Diving further up the coast St Davids etc

Please let me know the dates

Late April is better for me as doing my OWIC first May weekend.

Last dived Pembrokeshire in 2003 and loved it.
