Imported post I'll be up for the Saturday with Davey Willo so see you all there.

Imported post I have just been to Billy Aitchison (the shipper of the boat) tring to book a place to stay over the weekend and see if he has a place on the boat for us. It seems he is full, certainly for the B&B and most probably for the boat as well because he said that there is a pbotograpbic competition that weekend, and he in way said that St. Abbs is not the place to go to that weekend!!!!!!!!! What do you think guys. Any other views or ideas.

Imported post Abbs is always a magnet at bank holidays Marco, last time we were there during a bank holiday it was fantastic, you just have to arrive early to get a pitch or a room.

Imported post I'm certainly planning to roll up on the Saturday, how early depends on how early I can be a***ed to drag myself out of my pit and I'll stay until driven away by the weather or the haggis. Ah ha ha ha! I've just seen the mpeg! Very good! Marco I hope we'll be able to get on the boat a bit but there is some excellent shore diving to be had also... :confined:

Imported post I'm hoping to get up to St Abbs on the Friday afternoon at a reasonable hour and pitch my tent in the daylight. If the rumour that the underwater photo competitions on over the weekend right anticipate the camp sites may be busy. Anyone know can you book a pitch at Scoutscroft? or is it first come 1st served, otherwise it will be plan B the same one as last time i take it? Tony

Imported post I hate to burst everyone's bubble but this will probably be the last chance for Abbs this year before the East Coast o' Scootlan turns to dog mush...... I was out Weds night (at Craigleith) and viz was down to 2-3m..... Abbs is always better but I'd not be holding out for a cracker if I were you..... Sorry to pee on your BBQ....

Imported post Hey Drift Dude, But that's still better than the Cape and Stoney on an average day - plus current always changes the viz within a minute's notice so crack on!! I'd rather dive sea in mixed viz than an inland in mince viz. And by the sounds of the reports, the guys have met some top conditions on their recent sojourns up there in Abbs. Long may it be the case lads/lasses! That plus a regular beer-fest at Scoutcroft sounds just the ticket. Hope you all get good traffic on the way up there for it you lucky, lucky, jammy b*astards!! Can I please have another 'let me tell you what you missed again' report?? Go on, please? I've already had to call Kangers (Bill Isherwood) and stand him down for a dive tomorrow at Treaddur and the rest of this weekend (including an ivite from Andy Dales for your shout at Hodge Close on Sunday) due to pressure of work already - so how happy am I??? To add to the arse, I've got a weekend party - yes, all weekend - on the Bank Holiday weekend for our kid's 50th gig in town. So you can guess how wet I'm gonna get. Yours, crying like fanny into his sherry, Dive safe and massively enjoy it guys and gals,

Imported post Sorry to hear you can't make Hodge on Sunday Bren, but we'll get to dive sometime soon eh? Thanks for the good wishes for Abbs too mate, viz is usually good to brilliant up there at any time of the year, unless of course you get the dreaded North, North Easterly's then it doesn't matter what time of year it is things will get stirred up. I'm looking forward to it as usual and am only gutted that i can't stay the full shift but the Red Sea calleth and my money is being squirrelled away for that gig as we speak. Tony. I'd recommend to you and anyone else who's camping to get there rediculously early as the sites will fill up quick, last bank holiday we all got pitched together and then was amazed to watch every available piece of grass around us dissapear below canvas and the whole bloody site became a tripping hazard with criss cross guide ropes everywhere, brilliant atmosphere though. See you all soon :thumb:
