Southern Red Sea Liveaboard 11th May

We have a few places left on our Red Sea Livaboard, 11th - 18th May 2006.

The trip is Booked through Regal Dive and we are on MY Superior. We will be starting from Marsa Alam and heading south to Daedalus Reef, with deep walls and drop-offs which offer some truly spectacular diving amongst mountainous, pristine hard coral formations. Then further south are the stunning overhangs and deep walls of rocky island and the abundant soft corals and pinnacles at Zabargad. The beautiful reefs of St. John’s complete the journey. The itinerary should provide plenty of exciting encounters with mantas and sharks of all kinds (we hope!).

M/Y Superior is a top of the range, 38 metre liveaboard. Superior is very spacious and sleeps 20 passengers in twin berth cabins. All cabins are en-suite and air-conditioned. The boat has 3 sundecks, 1 dive deck with dive platform, 2 air conditioned salons, bar, air conditioned dining area, TV/VCR/DVD/CD player and recharge point for cameras and torches.

All divers must have a minimum of 50 logged dives. This is required by Egyptian Law.

The cost of the trip is £899 per person, full board, including flights, transfers, all diving, air fills, tanks and weights. You can expect to have the option of 3-4 dives per day. Flights are from Gatwick.

We are a very friendly bunch of people and would welcome any fellow divers who would like to come along. If you don't have a buddy, don't worry as we can buddy you up with someone of similar experience.

If you are intrested and would like further details drop me a line.

Could you please introduce yourself to the board before asking them to shell out money to dive with complete strangers.

Thanks mulchy

I understand the intro point, but to be fair to Sue, as I read this she isn't asking for money - it would be paid directly through Regal. I guess as a group they are just trying to get the full boat discount, which isn't a problem is it?

Of course, if i am wrong, then burn her - she's a witch, she weights the same as a duck!

I never said burn her, or even got the matches out. I was trying to maybe get in before the YD massive got the tar and feathers and started getting the pop corn out.

And the question of whether they make money or lose money is not important. Post intro first, ask for money later.

This YD mentality is really unpleasant you know. Why couldn't you have PM'd her and let her know privately to post an intro? And lou, that bit you've put about she's a witch, burn her - Jees - I know you're joking, but the whole thing smacks of schoolyard -'do you wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang' well, follow my rules stuff, and to be honest, I think it's quite intimidating.

Yeah, it would be nice of her to post an intro, but for God's sake. I think that it gives a really bad impression of what's s'posed to be a professional site - and it's not very nice.

But Alan, the semantic of it is that are they asking for omney - or are they posting up availability on a trip that they are already on?

I think the two things are pretty different.

Well, here we go. I agree with the first bit. I thought that Alan's post was harsh considering what I read to be the situation. The last bit was a joke and nothing at all to do with "my gang". It was supposed to be ridiculous, hence the Monty Python reference and was in response to instant "post an intro" bit.

However, if the situation was not as I read then sure enough folk get upset when a commercial enterprise (which Sue is, if you read her profile) comes on and touts for business with the first post. I just don't think that this is the case here.
