| Anglesey / Isle of Man - 20 / 27May 2006 ANGLESEY / IOM Greetings: Simon Campbell here from the Ribble Valley Sub Aqua Club (BSAC 0594) http://www.rvsac.org - take a look at our site.... I have booked a trip with Scot Waterman http://www.questdiving.co.uk starting Friday May 19th 2006.. It will be for a week. The boat (MV Endeavour) is not a liveaboard but we will have B&B accommodation in Anglesey and the IOM.. There is room for 12 divers... Endeavour is run and skippered by Scott Waterman, a BSAC Advanced Diver for the past 18 years, with over 1500 logged divers, >1400 of which were in the Irish Sea. His years of local knowledge were invaluable in the publication of ‘Anglesey Wrecks and Reefs’ Volume 1 & 2, which he co-wrote with Andy Shears. Some of you may know that the marks in these books are all wrong!! He told me why and the new volume will have corrections fro the previous book.. I dived off this boat last year off the coast of Anglesey (N&S). He is a superb skipper and very knowledgeable about the area and I had two of the best dives I have ever had in the UK.. He has a number of rarely dived wrecks in his portfolio around Anglesey and the IOM.. On the way out the IOM We will be diving the 'Liverpool' which was featured recently in dive magazine.. We will be doing the first weekend off Anglesey and then off to the IOM on Monday.. We will be doing 2/3 dives per day depending upon peoples preferences. I deeper dive in the morning and a couple of shallow in the afternoon. The diving will appropriate for sport diver and above at the discretion of the DO. Max depth will be 45m although the majority will be much shallower 5-30m.. COST... £25 per night B&B for seven nights (4 nights on the IOM and three in Anglesey assuming you are staying on the Friday evening) = £175 Diving = £280. Air say at £3.00 per fill £42.00 for the week assuming 2 dives per day (more diving is available).. Nitrox is available on the IOM and is probably available in Anglesey through he Skipper Scott... We will need a £100 deposit per diver as soon as possible paid to Matt Taylor at RVSAC matt.taylor@rvsac.org. |
