I would say that it is where there are no English folk but that is becoming less and less true every day.

God was talking to St Peter one day and asked him to have a look at his latest part of the world that was being created.
He told him he was giving them Beautiful mountains and scenery, clear plentiful waters tumbling down the mountain side, Lochs and rivers teeming with fish, plenty of wildlife of all shapes and sizes, the people would be inventive and hard working, the land would be fertile and would be called Scotland.
 St Peter said it was excellent but did he not think he was being just a bit too generous to the Scots?
 God replied Not really, wait to you see the neighbours they are getting!

PS- Have you seen the latest OS book. They have revamped all the numerical classifications for countries. Scotland has been designated Country#667. Neighbour of the beast!!

So Much for the Met office.. What severe gale?
I think sometimes they just pick a report out the air as the weekend was calm and Sunday sunny and calm.
Was almost like a summers day in Oban and had a great dive on the Madam Alice.
