Question Chuuk aka Truk Lagoon

It's been a year since I was in Chuuk and a couple of my buddies in the UK want to go and I really fancy going back, sometime in March/April 2007. I was just trying to gauge any interest on YD.

The plan would be via Singapore as it's cheaper but less weight allowance, to stay on the Thorfinn for 8/9 days with 5 dives a day. The approx cost is £2500 less any discounts. I was planning on talking to 3 or 4 travel agents to get the best price and the Thorfinn direct if we can get a good deal on flights.

Anyone really interested.

It's awesome diving!

wow, that certainly looks to be a trip and a half. take it you would be offering either sunrise or nitrox package?

subject to convicing my husband that this trip really is essential, and i couldnt possibly live without it - i'm in.

Chuuk

Jo,

when I went I took the Sunrise package which made the price £2,500 (actually slightly less and that included 1 o/night in Manilla on both legs of the journey). I never took the Nitrox, some of the wrecks are deep and it was air only for me. San Francisco Maru was the deepest at around 53M, they had ponies and twins available and the guides carry ponies and there is a hang tank. I was doing the dives on a single 12, water is so warm and clear it was easy.

Just saw profile photo, plus they are now YBOD friendly
