Scimitar - Free Dives - 14th/15th June (Episode III)

To avoid the carpark next to me (M25) I will be arriving in Weymouth around 7.30 to 8am. Intend parking up and getting breakfast somewhere, probably Safeways or whatever the supermarket is next to the Quay. Anyone else gonna be there early?

Can i just confirm then that we are meeting @ 10:00am by the gate on North Quay road.
As shown in the picture on the Scimitar website
Where we will drop the kit off and load onto the boat.

Where is everyone going to park after unloading??

There is a car park more or less directly opposite where you need to unload the kit. I think its the council office car park. Failing that there is another car park behind the old harbour dive centre which is a bit further away.

limited time car parking during the week in the council carpark so no go on that one

That's correct (council office car park is the cheapest IIRC but usually fills up early). Last time I parked at OHDC it was something like £5 or.....Asda car park is closer.....they now have a pay and display machine so might be an option.
The other place....if you get there early enough is Chapelhay.....parking here is free and it's closer than OHDC...to get there go up Boot Hill towards Portland. Straight across the mini roundabout and then take first left into St. Leonards Road. You'll reach a parade of shops (there is some parking there but I can't remember if it's time restricted). Take a left into Prospect Place. There is parking all the way around this road on the left. To get back to North Quay on foot you need to find the alleyway beside the Church on North Quay. It's easy to find as you will see it at the end of Prospect Place.
To drive back to North Quay follow Prospect Place round into Franchise Street. At the end of franchise Street you'll find you're back on the mini roundabout at the top of Boot Hill.
