| Andaman off Dover Wed 7 June I have booked Neptune for a trip out to dive the Andaman of of Dover on Wed 7 June when we have some rather good Neaps tides The 4765 Ton ship was built in 1947 and sunk after a collision on 24 May 1953 off of the South Goodwins, there are still reported to be at least 7 x 30 lbs silver ingots on her ![]() We should have slack water at 1240 so will be looking at ropes off at about 1130 to do this very large and intact wreck. She sits in 50m of water and is very proud (up to 24m). A dive planned on 40-45m would be a reasonable option. Neptune works a policy of anchoring into the wreck and divers coming back up the shot, a system that works very well off of Dover, and with the long Neap slack this gives time for a comfortable long run time. The Skipper and Owner Dave Batchelor is an extremely experienced Dover Wreck Diver and boat skipper (Diving the area since 1987) with a huge amount of knowledge on the wrecks around Dover and quoted in "Dive Kent" as "One of the best wreck Divers in Kent". He also has a crew who are very experienced divers on the local wrecks. The normal cost for a double dive day is £35, i am only planning on the one dive this time, but a 2nd dive could be available for any that want one. Neptune will return to Dover between dives. I will ask Andy the commie to provide air fills, there is also the option to shoot across to The Shorncliffe Dive Centre. So get yur names down for a quality Dover dive day also your chance to see the Diving Dude bailing out on the DBOD and chance to meet the better looking and grown up half of Kinky Divers 1. Paul Oliver 2. Diving Dude 3. Blanaid (The Choccie Princess) 4. Getafix (TBC) 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
