Andaman Dive - Dover Wed 18 Oct

OK then i have Neptune booked to dive the very big and intact Andaman on Wed 18 Oct, ropes off at 1230 for a single dive day, cost as long as i fill the boat will be £25.

This large Swedish ship built in 1947 displacing 4765 Ton is 146m long with a beam of 20m and she lies on her side in 52m of water and stands up 24m proud She sunk following a collision on 24 May 1953 and there is still silver bullion in her holds to be had

If the viz looks to be poor in this area i will be looking to change to the Sabac which is another huge freighter upright and intact in 55m, decks at about 45m.

Let me know if you want a place:-

1 hr 20 mins normal time or 6 hrs 86 mins in chasey ratio time to fill the boat, with a mixture of well 'ard (well one ) rebreather divers, rebreather kn*bs, oc divers, even two of "them" sneaked on board. This is YD at its best. Even though Paul organised it.

I would say min of 30m as long as we go in at the shallow point, probably better to expect 35m which the way Dave anchors in has a good chance, however i am planning this as a 50m dive but don't expect to go below 45-48m and would suggest this is what you should be looking at.

I have not dived this as i have always been blown out or had ear problems on the one time i got into the water on her

Chasey and Getafix should be able to give a better profile hopefully.

Righto - 25-27% mix depending on who is blending in the shed that day
