I dont know as I am joining this group late in the day. We normally dive the following sites, Furnace Quarry, Council Site, Kernmore GArdens? I dont know if it is going to be any different this time.
Have a good dive on the 30th tis a shame we will be back over the border by then.

for your info, furnace quarry have new gates, you cannot access the site & get close to the pier.
you can park on the 'pass' road & walk over, but be warned, it is a long hike with your kit.
i did it on the 23rd with a twin set & stage bottle, 2 trips with gear.
'council site'... not heard of that place? or were you reffering to the quarry?
Kenmore point... this is host to the 'knome garden' & quite a good dive.
this guide is limited but may help...
SHORE DIVING SITE PRO FORMA
i suggest you go past the houses to the beach (at the right of the houses), from there to the left is a good dive, very deep, 60m+ if you want it.
if you turn right out of the bay & down the cliff face to around 20-25m (i think) you will find the gnome garden.
if you do kenmore point, let me know how the viz is as this is where im looking at going on the 30th.
cheers

Hiya Stew
Yep I discovered the new gates at the quarry.......bloody knackered before even entering the water. We didnt do kenmore or council site...............just Furnace and the Tea rooms. Water temp 11c viz 3/4 metres. The Loch looked as rough as the sea today but great weekend weather was shite though. Food in the George was its usual excellent quality and the wine was even better! I dont know the proper name of the council site as thats all everyone calls it. Its where the council seems to leave their big road equipment and old tarmac etc.

for the life of me i cant think where you mean by 'council site' although i will enquire.
i can recomend a good chiropractor after your quarry jaunt.
