| D-Day wreck week - Normandy 2007; places available Hi all, My club has just had some unforseen drop outs on our d-day wreck week using Channel Diver (Nauticat Steve's new South Cat) We will be diving the Normandy d-day wrecks on a 6 diving day trip from 11th-18th August 07 with depths in the sports diver range up to 40m max There is an opportunity that half the group may do the Leopoldville (55m) if there is enough demand Costs for the weeks diving is £335 per person (basis 10 divers); accomodation and food extra. We will have a compressor on board so all fills are included. We have booked the following chateau for the weeks diving and also have it for the week previous if you wish to have a normal French holiday prior. The trip includes this accomodation Our club will be travelling over on SpeedFerries (£60 return for car and up to 5passengers). You would need to book this direct on SpeedFerries website; Norfolk ferries are also a good cheap bet the accomodation The "Manor du Houguet" offers holiday cottages to let near Cherbourg in Normandy. some articles about the diving BSAC TRAVEL CLUB - Trip Reports - The D Day Landing Beaches and Wrecks BSAC TRAVEL CLUB - Trip Reports - Normandy and the D Day Wrecks http://www.divernet.com/cgi-bin/arti...isplay&sh ow= a review about a book on the history of the wrecks http://www.divernet.com/cgi-bin/arti...isplay&sh ow= If your interested please PM or post here or email rick@croydonbsac.com for further info Alternatively if you want to rave about how good the diving is on thread please do so Rick
