Monday 29th HMS Flirt, DOVER

Dive - Monday 29th January

HMS FLIRT-DOVER

WW1 Destroyer HMS Flirt This Destroyer was sunk, whilst picking up survivors from another ship, after being torpedoed by a German Destroyer during a raid on the Dover barrage on the night of 27 Oct 1916. The wreck is upright in 38m of water with the main decks at 35m, the centre section being proud for its length, while the bow and stern are almost flush with the seabed. There is quite a bit of fishing net on this wreck but it is big old rope net that is easy to avoid.

The meeting time for this dive is at 9.45am at Dover Marine

The Boat is NEPTUNE and also has a diver lift which is always good to have

around £25 each if we have a full boat
