Destroyer HMS Paragon Dive - Dover Fri 16 March

WW1 Destroyer HMS Paragon Dive out of Dover on Neptune, this dive has filled up rather quickly with the usual suspects so i have a 2nd gig booked for the 28th. The wreck sits in 30m of water on the French side of the Channel.

Yarrow boilers; three 4 in. guns, 2 T. T.
The destroyer Paragon, Lt. Bowyer, was patrolling the submarine
barrage in the Straits of Dover on the night of March 17th, 1917, in
company with the Laertes, Laforey and Llewellyn. At about 10.50
p.m. a German destroyer force led by Cdr. Tillessen steamed into the
Straits with the object of breaking the barrage. The first ship to
encounter them was the Paragon, which was torpedoed and
overwhelmed with gunfire when in the act of flashing her challenge.
She blew up and sank immediately, only ten of her complement of
77 being picked up.
The Llewellyn, which came on the scene in time to rescue the few
survivors, was also torpedoed but, fortunately, did not sink.
Meet at Dover 1130 for a 1200 Departure, dive time about 1330. This is a single dive day and due to the long run out will cost £30. However the good news is the Dude cannot go

Edit: Please Note

OK then folks, just in case we have to chase the viz please have an MoD that will let us go a bit deeper if nessesary, 32% should be OK but 30% may be better.

It is not my intention to change the dive site unless we absolutly have to as Nigel will never stop going on if i do and i really want to see this wreck.

Looking at the Team Sheet i doubt anyone will have a problem with this but if you have feel free to drop out with no obligations.

Please remember that we are diving in France and spidging is not allowed.

Still I know you'd much rather have the choccie princess aboard than me.

Fine by us mate we've still got 30% left over from the Hermes/Cuvier dive

Safe diving,
Steve
