Littlehampton - Sat 23 June 2007 - HMS Northcoates

Location : Littlehampton

Dates : Saturday 23rd June 2007

Boat : OurJoy

Depths : 25m

Diving : HMS Northcoates Wreck & Drift

I’ve secured ‘Our Joy’ one of the best boats out of Littlehampton, for one of the best neap low-tide Saturdays of 2007. Main dive will be the HMS Northcoates wreck, followed by a suitable drift dive (to see if we can find anything to eat!).

See the Divernet wreck tour here Divernet Wreck Tour: 77, HMS Northcoates

And Toms recent post about HMS Northcoates here HMS Northcoates, Sussex - inside of bow section?

The boat cost is £450, which is £37.50 each based on twelve. I have paid a group deposit, and will be looking at getting the whole amount off you 4 weeks before the trip. Usual YD trip rules apply, if you book on, its your responsibility to pay the balance or fill the space with a suitably qualified and experienced person (failure to comply will result in being named and shamed).

For anyone on this trip who isn't also reading this thread (TGI Friday - 18th May - HMS Northcoates - Littlehampton - OurJoy) the consensus seems to be the seabed depth is around 30m (depending on the tide )

actually since we're coming on to neaps, isn't it a high low tide? and as it's a reasonable neap, I guess that makes it a medium high low tide.

depths should be about 3m less than being discussed on the other thread.

Does that mean with the increased light penetration we should be able to navigate easier on this the second trip.

Matt

Matt
you can say what you like, you're still not allowed to hold the compass.
