| Cheers, i'm now preliminarily booked onto a boat in Swanage for tomorrow, although weather is still looking shoddy so won't know if its a go until 5-6pm tonight... so might still end up looking for somewhere for Monday! David |

| No, i'm not expecting much... just a vague hope that someone with some local knowledge of the weather is predicting better than the BBC (and in fairness the forecast today has varied hugely over the past 5 days), or has a nice site planned in a sheltered area. Ever the optimist I know! David |

| weather The weather system is coming through earlier than previously given, but it will still be a deep low and gale force in places. My barometer is reading 1004 and I am 200 yds from the sea ( solent ). It will still take about a day to settle down after the low goes through late tomorrow unfortunately. Have a look @ GB Wind Map

| Somehow I don't think that there will be anything going on on Monday with a weather forcast like this (Met Office forecast as at PM Sat 26th May, my bold). Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis Inshore waters forecast 24 hour forecast: 0001 Sun 27 May 0001 Mon 28 May Wind Northwest backing east 3 or 4, later backing north or northeast 5 to 7, perhaps gale 8 in west. Sea state Slight, increasing moderate or rough later. Weather Isolated showers then rain. Visibility Good becoming moderate occasionally poor. Outlook: 1801 Sun 27 May 1801 Mon 28 May Wind North or northeast backing northwest 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8. Sea state Moderate or rough. Weather Rain or showers. Visibility Moderate or good.
