Do you know the forecast further offshore? The forecast looks bad inshore (upto 12miles out)

We are supposed to be diving this saturday

Cheers

Adam

No idea Adam, but offshore is your best bet at the moment. It just might be a bit bumpy getting to the site and back

Q. Why did the razorbill raise her bill?

It looks like we have the usual crew for this Sunday, tempted by the reports of excellent viz in the bay, so won't be needing any extra this week.

Thanks to those who have replied.

Probably too late for you, but...

We had 8 metres viz yesterday about 10 miles out. Others in the compound had 10 metres. So it is quite good. There was a bit of bloom at shallow depths but our wreck could be seen without a torch at 42 metres.

Absolutely stunning and lots of those flowery white things. (Plumrose sausages??)

Yes on a RIB. We were out on what we thought was the Dryade. But in Ron Young's Book it is shown as 31 metres. Was actually deeper than that. We got about 42metres, therefore CD must be about 37m. We did check it on the chart so new what we were expecting.

We passed a catamaran private fishing boat very close to the wreck (think they were fishing the Villa) who then decided to follow us out and start fishing as we were sounding. They did say they would go when we wanted to get in. (and they did)

Didnt see any fish at all on the wreck and was quite surprised to see their very big catch back in the compound.

What did you guys do?

Gary

Had an excellent day really.

Tried to dive UC39 on tide(don't ask!), but buddy had a problem, so the dive was aborted.

Then wizzed over to Barmston, but Providence were there with loads of divers on it, so we went over to Brabant. Nice second dive.

Viz would be, say, 5 - 8 mtrs on both sites, water temp around 9C.

Don't exactly what we're doing next week, so keep looking as we might be short of divers!

What Brabant like. I have tried it once but missed the wreck and ended up doing circles on white sand. I thought it was a bit difficult to find.
