DIVE SITES attached to this email is a list of dive sites for your info we will be diving the Robert at some point when Andy feels we’ll get the best dive.

Ilfracomeb harbour – post code is EX349EE for those of you using a SATNAV

HELEBILLIES – 01271 866488 http://www.helebillys.com/ table booked for 7.15 couple of hundred yards from the caravan park meal cost varies from £7.50 / £15.00 choice of menu to include fresh fish & vegaterian. i’ve booked for 15 which is the caravans plus a couple if those of you in the B&B wish to join us please let me know so I can book more space.

BOAT http://www.obsessionboatcharters.co.uk/default.htm we need to be ready to load in Ilfracombe Pier at 8.15 Saturday 17th boat will be leaving 8.45sharp. having unloaded cars they need to be taken around the harbour to the car park [5 mins walk] to get to the boat you will need to drive to the harbour as you arrive there the inner harbour will [should] be on your right with a line of shops to your left, continue to the end of the harbour where you will find the boat.

GAS FILLS – these are arranged by the skipper through ilfracombe BSAC they are Air Fills only not Nitrox

BREAKFAST / LUNCH – not included Shirls Sandwich Bar opens 7.45 offers breakfast and packed lunches if you want breakfast phone and pre-book it on 01271 863268 they will open 7.15 to prepare it in advance for you.


CAR PARKING – as every can be expensive the cheapest way apparently is to buy a permit for £11.00 from the Ilfracombe Tourest Office on 01271 863001 the boat skipper is going to collect our parking permits on the Friday afternoon and they will be available for us when we meet him Saturday am. You can pay over the phone in advance with a card. You must book and pay before the Wednesday as Andy may collect them Thursday PM so if you book late you’ll get missed!

my club & guests have taken about 12 of the spaces already so the rest are up for grabs. Accommodation TBC closer to the time but Ilfracombe is full of guest houses, caravan sites & even camp sites.

Diving will fall into the BSAC SD/ SAA CD/ PADI AOW range plan is to dive the Robert & perhaps another wreck along with the no take zone where the life is supposed to be very good. Plan is for at least 1 of the boats to do a 3rd day to make the journey more worthwhile. Start times won't be horrendous you can load at any state of the tide so i was planning 9ish daily.

Is anyone else having trouble getting through to the torist office to book parking? I've been trying all day!

i tried to call the skipper but got voicemail on both numbers.
I want to trop my bottles in for a fill and wanted a rough idea of depth so I can figure out backgas.

Ok I've got hold of them now!

I asked for a brochure a few months ago they said they would catch that days post and it still took over a week!!!!

Also on the same trip as Greg, AVOID the resturant opposite the Ocean Backpackers, sh!te food and the worlds toughest steaks. The tapas bar on the hill to town does good food. The indian is good as well and has no problem with large groups

You'll have a great time, Obsession is the BEST outfit I have dived with in the UK. great boat and great skipper in Andrew.

no but it all looks about 30m

so I have air and probably 36% for the second dive.
